2010 ADVENT & CHRISTMAS EVE AT CROSS ROAD BAPTIST

Hi Everyone!
This post begins Part Two of our "2010 Christmas in Bangor". Our Advent Theme for the Month was "The Christmas Touch". Each week we had a particular theme of ways we could make "Connections for Christ During the Holidays" which included a "Reader's Theater" skit each Sunday. We have some very good actors at Cross Road Baptist Church. So sit back, have a hot cup of coffee and/or hot chocolate and enjoy some of our Advent memories.

ADVENT TWO
Advent Sunday Two, we decorated the Christmas Tree during our Praise Sing Time, before Sunday School. We sang Christmas Praise Songs and Carols, as we decorated the Christmas Tree.

ADVENT WREATH: Advent Four Candle Lighters were Dean & Gail Shook

Unfortunately, every Advent Sunday, my camera would start to "act up", especially when trying to capture the Advent Wreath Lighting Ceremony;I had much difficulty in capturing the various Candle Lighters. This particular Sunday was no different...except that I did not get ONE PICTURE
of our Advent Candle Lighters! I'm very sorry Dean & Gail, I tried so hard, but to no avail!

ADVENT 4 SUNDAY (CHRISTMAS SUNDAY)
At Last! Upon the completion of our morning worship, The Cross Road Baptist Kids get to pass out the candy treats that the Adults made at the Candy Making Party early in December.
Everyone enjoyed the tasty treats very much.

CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE

It seemed to us as though the month of December was over before we knew it! Now, at last, the big day that we all had been waiting for: Christmas Eve...The eve of our Lord's birthday!...it almost gives me the sense of Israel's anticipation for their Messiah to come. Only, we know that the Messiah has come! And He Will Come Again! Glory to God!

As you can tell, we had a wonderful time celebrating "THE CHRISTMAS TOUCH"
at Cross Road Baptist Church this year. We thank all who helped in any way with all of the Advent programs.
